1. Pre-Trip Train Check

Pic: Lynn's ready to head to the Miami International Airport NOW!

We're heading to France again next Sunday, July 3, 2011. This will be a fun trip, with several days in Paris with no tourist responsibilities, then a month in Dinan, FR, in the Brittany region near the English Channel and historic Normandy Beaches. We want to try something new to start the trip: ride the TriRail train from Mangonia Park (near our home) all the way to Miami International Airport, then take a shuttle bus to our airline departure desk and be GONE without car-commuting from Jupiter down to Miami. Since we have never tried this before, we spent this morning checking out the system by visiting the Mangonia Park station, talking to fellow train riders,  and watching the train arrive. This WILL WORK: Plenty of storage space for our luggage and my bicycle case, lots of seats on the triple-decker passenger cars, and fairly easy ride...it looks like we just just stay on til the end of the line! All for $5 apiece, with no driving, no gasoline, no traffic, no parking, and (hopefully) no hassle. Will report more after next week's "for real" use of TriRail.
